Compared to traditional static shelving, a roller racking set up from Shelving Direct can be configured to take up half the space. Our shelving bases are specifically designed and manufactured for your project to ensure they meet your exact requirements. A detailed site survey of the proposed storage area is undertaken and CAD layouts of the proposed system are provided. When choosing Shelving Direct, the consultancy and design process will be carried out free of charge by our team.
Our mobile racking systems are modular, enabling easy installation, addition and alteration. The mobile base is designed to sit directly on to any floor surface without the need for fixing to the interior of the building. If your shelving system needs relocating, this can be completed without damage to the floor.
Each shelving unit can be moved across the base with the minimum of effort, utilising ergonomically designed hand wheels geared to allow ease of movement. No special training or detailed instructions are needed to operate the shelving, making them an accessible and easy to use solution for shelving anything that will be accessed by the general public. Hand wheels incorporate safety locks to ensure bays can be locked in place while each aisle is accessed.
